Resurrection Fest 2016 is over

Hi everyone! Resurrection Fest 2016 has ended!

First we would like to congratulate you for your exemplary behaviour and to celebrate that there was no incidences during the whole event. You are the best crowd in the world, something we already knew! We are more than thankful for your loyalty, travelling thousands of kilometres from the whole Peninsula and the most hidden places in the world. Secondly we would like to thank all the workers for their hard work and all the people that helped in any way to create Resurrection Fest 2016. Thirdly, we would like to thank all the people from Viveiro, who receive all the attendants with open arms. The village and the festival are one, and that makes Viveiro to be the home of extreme music. Last but not least, we would like to thank the bands for choosing Viveiro for the most epic shows, having even two different marriage proposals on stage. Among all, we have written a new page in the history of music festivals. Being an independent festival and being celebrated in such a small town, it makes it even more magic and allows us to own ourselves to the music we like the most and you, our public.

From the beginning, this edition has been a challenge, both for the organization and the village. We had doubts about this “jump” or if we could do it well, but after a hard work of the whole team and a great planning during all these months, we could offer the best event possible, a festival we would like to attend to as public. Following our will of doing things right and some of your advices, we have improved many things like sound, size of stages, queues, decorations and new infrastructures, security plans, communication, etc., becoming one of the biggest festivals in Spain and a main festival in Europe in our genre.

Reading your comments saying that this has been one of the best things that ever happened to you helps us to work with the same will of the first day. Creating this festival is our dream. That loyalty we were talking about makes us believe in this project, creating one of the most unique and special events in the world. Quoting Bruce Dickinson, singer of Iron Maiden, Resurrection Fest is a special event, for fans and by the fans, in one of the most beautiful environments they have played in a lot of time. That’s why we want this festival to be more than watching some bands on stage, we want it to be a experience, holidays in the best place, Viveiro and its landscapes, with friends and family (Resukids!). We want all the 80542 “resus” that have been here this year to come next year with even more enthusiasm.

Of course, there should be some mistakes, it’s impossible to have everything correct, but we want to listen your comments about what’s been done right to keep doing it, and to know what has not been so good to improve it next year. Soon we’ll release our annual survey of the public for this, so we count on your help. We want to seal this compromise with this promise: we promise you that Resurrection Fest 2017 will be a historical edition, where you will be able to watch 100 bands, and it will be spectacular.

It has been eleven years already full of passion for music and the extreme, and we hope they can be more by your side to live it together. See you in 2017, see you in Viveiro!
