Anthrax, Sepultura, Talco and many others added to Resurrection Fest 2017

Finally, we can announce new bands for the lineup. The Resurrection Fest train never stops, so here we go!

One of the most important bands in the history of thrash metal, one of the Big Four, will be for the first time in Viveiro: Anthrax will play at Resurrection Fest! Scott Ian, Joey Belladonna, Charlie Benante and Jonathan Donais will display their power in their killer live shows, full of circle pits and with many hits from their discography, They will be one of the key bands of the bill for sure!

Another metal legend, Sepultura, will be for the first time here to create a huge party during the warm-up. Leaded by Andreas Kisser and with Derrick Green on vocals, we will sing along with many of their hymns, like “Roots Bloody Roots”, “Refuse/Resist”, “Arise” and many others. It’s really an honor to have one of the most important metal bands ever here! Along with these two, we will be visited by a death metal German band called Deserted Fear, playing in our Chaos Stage with their new album “Dead Shores Rising”.

On the other hand, we regret to announce that Bouncing Souls will have to cancel their show for problems not related to the festival, but we’re happy to announce that one of the most active bands in the genre nowadays, The Menzingers, will also be playing at the fest. Talco, from Italy and one of the most important ska bands right now, will be one of the main bands of the Ritual Stage, and another mighty band, just reunited after 8 years, will be here as well: Undeclinable Ambuscade. For the warm-up party, the legendary CJ Ramone will be playing all his new songs, but of course, also the best of Ramones. It’s going to be a blast!

For the modern metal lovers, from Canada we will have Obey The Brave, a powerful live act full of breakdowns, and for our warm-up our Mexican friends Here Comes The Kraken, after their last-minute cancellation in  2012, and Parazit too.

Finally, from Galicia two bands full of old friends: Aphonnic, playing this time in the warm-up party, and Display of Power, one of the best Pantera tributes in the world, will make us jump at late hours closing one of the days.

We still have some bands left to be announced for the after party and band contest, but you can see the current lineup below. Remember: there will be 100 bands distributed in 4 stages and 4 days. Soon the pending bands, split by days, info about all the camping areas and many surprises more.
