To celebrate our special 20th anniversary and to offer the residents of Viveiro a concert that captures the true essence of the festival, Resurrection Fest—in collaboration with the Viveiro Patron Saint Festivities—presents No Fun At All and Not Yet on August 13 in our town’s main square (Plaza Mayor).
The idea for Resurrection Fest first emerged in 2006 as a Sick Of It All concert scheduled for August 20, during that summer’s festivities. That concert eventually had to be canceled, but with a lot of effort and thanks to the perseverance of the mayor at the time, Melchor Roel, the band finally delivered their long-awaited live show in Viveiro months later during the very first edition of Resurrection Fest.
In just a few days, on August 13, you will be able to experience a very special show. The powerful Swedish quintet, who have earned a well-deserved reputation among punk critics over the last three decades and have performed numerous times on our festival stages, did not want to miss this event in the midst of the San Roque festivities.
As if that weren’t enough, we won’t just be enjoying the iconic lineup of No Fun At All at this free event. The local group Not Yet will also take the stage at Viveiro’s Plaza Mayor, giving it their all for their home crowd with every track from their EP “Two Steps To Rest.”
